  Figure 2: Add Account

Account Setup
Your login settings can be stored at any time by clicking the red "Add Account" heart on the tool bar (Figure 2) to open the "Account Setup" dialog box shown in Figure 3, below.

Assign a unique "Account Nickname" so you can identify this account in the Favorites menu.

Set Master PasswordMaster Password
With Tango FTP you have the option to assign a Master Password that is separate from all individual account passwords. One Master Password, when applied, will lock all important accounts as an extra layer of security.

To set the master password for the first time, select "Require Master Password for this Account" in the Account Setup dialog box (Figure 3) or, in the main menu goto "File" and then "Set Master Password".

Note: Each account that requires the Master Password cannot be accessed without it, so write it down and keep it in a safe place. If you forget your Master Password and have to reset it, previously saved account settings that required the Master Password will be deleted.

Favorite Account Snapshot Setup
Within each account you can save unlimited favorite local / server "Snapshot" views to navigate directly to most frequently visited directories. For example, with a single click you can bring up your photo gallery, both locally and remotely without having to navigate both views. The snapshot views are listed as subheadings under each account name.

To save a Snapshot view, login to a previously saved account and navigate to the desired local and remote views. Click on the red heart button which will now open the “Account Snapshot Setup” dialog box (Figure 4). At the top of this dialog box you can see the account settings, but you can't modify them. Below you can set up the Snapshot view starting with a "Snapshot Nickname" that will be listed in a subheading under the account nickname (Figure 5). The next time you login with this Snapshot, you will login directly to the Snapshot local / server view.

Favorites List
Each account you set up is listed in the Favorites panel (Figure 5) on the login screen. Accounts are listed in black text with their assigned nickname, and the account snapshot views are listed as sub-headings with smaller blue text. Accounts can be expanded and collapsed using the plus - minus icons to the left of the account nickname.

By default, each account is set to login to the local Tango Springboard and the remote root directory. The default favorite in any account is identified by a small green check mark.

You can rearrange the positions of favorite Accounts and snapshots by clicking and dragging them to a new position in the favorites panel. Right click on a favorite to edit or delete.
